Part of the research for my second book on food policy (read about it here) has involved interviewing people who lived through World War II Britain. My research assistant and I have had the honour and pleasure of meeting personally with many women and men who generously shared their personal experiences of war and of how Britain’s sweeping food initiatives affected them.
Enjoy this selection of interviewees’ stories (plus one from World War II Denmark)! Click on each image to reveal stories.
